I stopped at a State Park to take a few photos yesterday evening, I saw plenty of deer and geese. I stopped at one little pond that had a beaver den, so I'm snapping a few photos of the the den, about that time I heard the splash of a beaver slapping his tail on the water, apparently not happy with this "Wildlife PaparaZZi Intruder". The light was getting low and I had my camera pushed about as far as it would go, when he popped up I was following him in the lens of my camera watching it come closer and closer, all the sudden through the lens I see the one I was following meet up with another beaver and they greeted each other by rubbing their faces together, all this less than 10 yards from where I was standing! I snapped off three shots before they split, although not the greatest photos, I felt lucky to get these.

You really were...I have sat patiently next to beaver huts for hours..and no sign of the little rats.. you lucky stinker...

Oh wow, those are amazing shots. One time a beaver got out of the lake to cross the road not two feet from me, but I was too terrified to take a pic - those beavers are a lot bigger than people think!

Wow! Sometimes it all just falls into place. Nice!

We used to have beavers on our lake, but they became a nuisance so we found a trapper and he caught 2 of the 3 (one was 40 pounds and the other was 33 pounds) and the other one hasn't been seen, so now we are after the muskrats, but they don't annoy anyone yet.

What a beautiful find! National geographic!
