Here we eat deer everything. Burger, tacos, spaghetti, meatloaf, deer a roni, what ever. The only time we get ground beef is when we get company. The wife doesn't want to "waste" deer on the unappreciative.

It goes for steak too. Although I am a sucker for a good rib-eye a few times a year.:p

How much deer or game does everyone else consume?

We eat a ton of game. This year I killed 6 deer and my dad killed 3, we gave most away. Dad also killed an elk in Colorado and a beer in Alaska. If it aint wild we don’t eat it. We eat lots of burger in everything, also a lot of soup meat, steaks and roasts. Not to mention all the fish, ducks, and turkey.

it was the same way at my parents house before i moved out, now i just get stuck with crappy ground beef especially since i didnt deer hunt this year.

at our house we eat everything we kill or catch. we make most of our deer into either steaks of sausage and smokies or brats. we dont make much burger since we butcher our own beef and get the good ground beef. none of that store bought pink stuff

Well besides the bratwurst, roasts, chops, Italian sausages, ground, stew meat, steaks and breakfast sausage? Not too much. :o

Since my 3 bypass 5yrs. ago it's all deer and elk for me, most lean meat to eat now.Havn't had a good steak in 5!!

Right now I am committed to killing at least 3 deer a year to supply my family and friends with Sausage and brats and other meats for the year. They can never get enough. I also use over half a deer and process it for a couple neighbor people that are to me poor as dirt. They love ever bite they say. I give them steaks and burger so they can use it to the fullest. Funny thing is that a few land owners found out I was doing that and called me to see if I wanted to hunt their land because of that... What goes around comes around I always say... Even my buck capes goes to the taxidermist since I euro mount mine as credit towards a mount if I get one big enough to mount.

Other than a restaraunt wy wife and I have not bought any beef since before deer season in November of 2005.
Also with all the pheasant and quail I put in the freezer we rarely by chicken except for the "unappreciative guests." She does buy salmon because she really likes it and I don't salmon fish, other than that our only other meat purchases are bacon, sausage and bologna with the occasional package of hot dogs.
