Well we went out yesterday to a remote pond. About 3/4 of a mile back in the woods, we took a 10' john boat and trolling motor. Caught small fish the entire time, went around the pond twice, it’s about 7-10 acres. The bite seemed to be the best in the rain. We caught most of them on chartreuse spinnerbaits. After the lightning stopped, it was still raining, I hooked one that ran in to the weeds, when it came out on our side I knew it was a good fish. She ran around the boat and came in. On the scales she was right at 8LBs, took some pictures and turned her loose. I’ll try to get them on here some time. At this same pond last Sunday my buddy caught a 5lb 10oz and a 6lb 10oz.
