View Full Version : Owls Smokey Mc Pot 03-11-2007, 10:41 I was out at peabody river king last night still dayligth and there was alot of cars sitting there and down the road aways there were about 10 people standing there with there huge cameras taking pictures of what i think were owls but who knoows im pretty sure they were owls they were like storm chasers but just for owls ha when one owl moved they would chase it until it stayed in one area Brad 03-11-2007, 18:23 i dont think they were after owls but rather hawks. they just sit there and watch them circle around for hours i think or maybe they are after spatsies, i dont know Bob 03-11-2007, 18:38 There are also a bunch of harriers out there, but they do have that sign..."short eared owl roost" Heck there are eagles out there all the time in winter, and nobody ever seems to notice them...??? There were a ton of little owls with long wings jumping around the fields. Today I got a pics of this unfortunate bugger. It obviously happened last night, cause they just burned this area yesterday.
