the carp are moving under this bridge to the shollows on the other side and they are HUUUUGGGEEE. I seen one that must have been 4 feet long. hooked about a 4 pound bass on minnows but couldn't land him.http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t309/fabfive2001/johnsoncreek002.jpg

tbhat's the same spot that critter snagged the muskie when he was bluegill fishing...the muskie snapped onto a blue gill he was reeling in...and yes...the Carp are huge there and they are usualy cruising the edges every time we are down there...
so what's up with the trees? Are they like that from the japanese beetles or is this an older pic?

Those darn Muskie will snag anything....B caught em when he bass fishes too....
The first time he ever caught one he had a tourney over with some club in hurst or bush i don't know anyway, he thought he had the biggest bass ever....I cracked up when he told me the story.....

Fungus pic was taken in March. and mine was before summer as well. I knew someone had taken a pic of the bridge but I couldn't figure out who......

Have you ever camped over there? I was wanting to camp somewhere over there.....are there any good spots....
How long does it take you to get there?

man I was hoping the beetles hadn't done THAT much damage..LOL but the have really tore things up around here..almost all of the fruit tress are leafless.
THere lots of good camping sites there..the drive in are nice...I don't really know about where the pull in campers camp...we usually take one of the ones across that bridge..they are hike in, but an easy enough hike, and a couple of them are right at the lake with teeny little docks too. It takes us about 45 min - hr to get there...I can zip down there in about half an hour...in the car when I'm just running down to take pics...

I've been told that what you do is take a bunch of those Japanese beetle traps and hang them up at your neighbors so they all go there. :D I'd sure never do anything like that though.

Just kidding there, but it is true that they attract the d**n things better than honey attracting bears. A few years ago they hung a bunch of thost traps in the cherry trees along Scott Drive. Those trees were stripped bare.

I've got a big row/patch of passion vine across the back of the yard...it's so umm...vigorous that the beetles just munch away and don't really hurt it, and it seems to pull them all back to it and they leave everything else alone...organic japanese beetle control LOL
