Ive been looking at county line maps and I was wondering what would be better. To get a turkey permit for Randalph county or for St. Clair county if I wanted to hunt the area around Baldwin lake on up to New Athens along the Kaskaskia FWA area. I would be parking and walking from the Mud Duck boat ramp area.

If you want to hunt north of Baldwin you will need a St.Clair Co. permit. The line run right thru Baldwin Lake.

Yep the line is county line road there at the parK...MOally1 I'll do you one better. I hunt St clair county. Public and Private and it is awsome. I hunt off the Kaskaski River there out of New Athens and I luv it. I hunted last year and had a great season. I got a 17lber with a 7 inch beard. There are lots of birds down there behind Balwin.(100s). I have a bassboat and any time you want to go, holla at me. I already got a 1st season tag for st. Clair, my second season is pending and I got 4th, or 5th random daily drawing.

I have a 1st season St. Clair and plan on taking the whole week off work. Maybe we could hook up for a hunt one day. I have boats too.

Don't know if you got my PM or not but you need to get a Randolph county tag if you plan on hunting where you are saying. From the parking area by the Dry Lake boat launch you'd have to walk approximately 1.5 miles north to get to the St. Clair line.
