Well I picked up one shed and one skull this weekend. Brings my total to 7 sheds and 3 skulls. I got 2 matched sets... a 145ish and a 120ish (post pics soon)

In-laws have some ground up there. I visit, then I shed hunt.

1st year no way... I've been shed hunting for about 5-6 years now. Got quite a stack...

Nice find bob, I haven't got the chance to go out yet but i better hurry up before the squirrels get em all. lol

How many you got, and are you just keeping them or are you going to make something out of them? I know my brother an his wife are trying to make a chandelier out of them.

has anyone found any sheds lately. ive looked every time ive had a chance to but have come up empty haded. biggest part is there arent that many deer where im looking due to neighbors shooting everything that walks by, so i was wondering if they are still dropping

I plan on taking the boat out and searching some river ground this weekend. THere should still be plenty of bone on the ground. Just gotta walk where others haven't yet. I hope to get 10 more at least before the shrooms are done.

I found four sheds this weekend and one skull. The skull had one antler and the other was broke off. A nice two-year-old three point with a big brow tine. The other four were two sets, a one and a half five point, should have been an eight but he was a fighter. The other set was a two year old eight point with a little squirrel damage and some broke points. Not bad for an hour walk!

i know that.......and I looked along the edges and around the fence lines but always come up empty.......my black lab did bring up a skull with antlers on it one day though..........

I walk A LOT of miles to find what I do. 3-6 hour hikes; 3 days a week; are the norm for me. I mean shroomers and turkey hunters will bump into a few by chance, but if you really want to hunt them successfully, you need to really burn the boot leather. There is no "magic area" to finds sheds. I've found them in the middle of a field, and in the thickest brush, field edges, and heavy trails, bedding areas, and ditch crossings. You find em where they are layin.

You will learn a lot about the deer in your area, by being in the woods at this time of year as well...
