OK, I got this the other day from my Aunt, I am still a bit over whelmed with it, but hey it is new to me, I guess it is like photo shop ? But it is a free down load for playing with photos, G, Bam Chy or any other photo junkies. Have you ever used this I have added it to my system but been mostly reading for 2 days...LOL. I guess you can pretty much do everything on here I am just reading and learning, Any thoughts on this? Is it a good program or not? Thanks R.

I use gimp. In fact, it's the program I used to put the tiger shark behind out pontoon boat in Rend Lake.

RLF, from what I heard alot of people use GIMP and like it......I never have used it personally but think it's free to download......I have so many others on the computer I didn't wanna get too many programs!

Gimp is pretty much comparable to Photoshop CS3 at this point..the learning curve can be a little steep..but I think you'll find it will do most anything you would want...we photogs call it the free version of photoshop :)

Well yes it has been a bit over whelming to say the least, but since I am teaching it to my self I figured why not try a free one that is fairly descent...LOL I like free ya know..lol Why just last night I started messing around on it at like 7:30 then before I knew what was what it was 3 a.m. LMAO! Came up with some rather interesting photos too, if it was only 1967 I would be rich! ;) LMAO!

Here's one like you could create in Gimp.......the photos can look so fake these days....I think it kinda looks more like melted wax instead of snow! :p lol
