Just stopping in and saying hey. I have been lurking for a couple weeks and decided to join. Great site. So far I have learned a lot. Thanks for the free advice!
To add a little story-- I became interested in goose/duck hunting at the end of last year. Well, we set up with some borrowed decoys before first light on sunday a.m. We(another goose rookie) then laid down and covered ourselves in mud/corn stalks. I then found out that my high dollar deerhunting gear is not completely waterproof. Finally some geese flew over. We moved a little bit and I think they saw us, because they kept flying. About a min later another group flew by. They went right passed us, turned around and dove right in. I bet there were 30 geese in each group. We each shot one, and it was both our first ever canada goose. I've deer hunted for around 15 years and thought I would try something new. This waterfowl hunting seems very addictive.
Good luck this season
