Got out last Sat. to the Iroquois Conservation area for some pheasant hunting.
My lab is hunting great, but my shootin stunk! Flushed 4 roosters but only bagged one. Dont matter....its all about watching the pup for me. He is a pointing lab. I really didnt work on the pointing with him, but he naturally works a close flushing pattern, but will also lock up on point when he sees a bird. Great dog to hunt with and he is only 2.
Butters....

Get rid of that Nova and get an 870 Wingmaster and you're shooting will improve!
No kidding!! Ive been hunting with a Win. 410 lever action the past few years but didnt have time to practise on the range this year. [got to quit chasin fish sooner!] So I brought out the cannon with an improved cylinder hoping to increase the odds....didnt work! Had nothing but problems with the Nova. Wont fire the second shot at times. I dont recomend them at all.
Next weeks pics will have my new Stevens 28g O/U in it. Just picked it up tonight.

Let me know how you like that Steven's and get some pics up. Bob put a bug in my ear a while back about a 28 gauge gun, currently in the fundraising process for one.

Bam remind me which day you're coming with a gun so I can not be around!
Life we can cure that itch 7 days a week (except Christmas Day).

I'm sure you could. My 870 Wingmaster has been silent for too long.
