Anyone ever have any luck there? I have fished there about 5 times last summer and never even had a bite. Theres always people out there so someone must be catching something.

there are big stripers out there and other big bass there is one lake were a stream runs in there and there are big stripers eating little fish use a chrome and blue rattle trap and little tiny spinners its fun out there, i learned bout that place when my father sarted taking me duck hunting there

my family and i fish a lil strip pit in pyramid, it produces killer bluegill and crappie, only way to fish it is if you have a little boat not unless you want to get eating up by ticks. and you cant drive back to it so my bro made a lil pull along trailer for our little bass tender that we haul back there. couple tubes of crickets and you will have hours of fun.

The New part is betwwen Scuttle Inn (Rt.4) and the old part of Pyramid State Park , west of the old park. Just wanted to clarify.

You won’t catch numbers usually but I’ve seen several fish over 5lb come out of there

Which doesn't make much sense because of the lack of fishing pressure. There used to be nice clean 2-4lb channel cat in there too.

Hey cottony, you ever seen that cartoon movie "Nemo"? Specifically the parts where Dori and Nemo are riding the current to Australia with the sea turtles? There is a line where the baby turtle is telling them how to exit the current and Nemo and Dori just look at one another because they have ABSOLUTELEY no idea what the cute little fella is saying.. ;)

Pyramid has always been very very good for me for fishing :) That said I hit lots of the smaller gotta hike a little to get to holes..

Oh, i was just kidding- most times i am just kidding..

I am looking for close clean motel and a close campground with electricity to pyramid. close motel is incase we have hard rain all day and want to get out of the tent and close campround with electricity for charging boat batteries-plus I like water at site and showers. I think Pickneyville motel might have too small of a parking lot to keep my boat hooked up to my Truck. Its been awhile since I have been in the area. What do you think ?? Names? Thanks for any ideas.
