Turkey Day is also Jerky Day around our house, wife sliced up some deer yesterday, marinated it overnight and we put some on racks and have it drying in the oven this morning. Nothing like the smell of deer jerky drying in the oven on a cold November morning! YUMMY!

looks great and if anything like this home, it wont last long i'm sure! lol
yea, daughter is here from college and going back North this evening, takin' some SILO tradition back with her to the city kidz! when she tells her friends that her mom makes the deer jerky herself from deer she killed with her bow & arrow, she gets that "you might be a redneck if your mom bowhunts and makes her own jerky in the kitchen" look! lol
we make sure she takes some back everytime we make it, most of the boys like it, but the girls are like "EEEEEWWWWW!"

You may be a redneck? Heck, we wear that title as a badge of honor around these parts. And yeah, that does sound a bit redneck, but that's a good thing, isn't it?
Cool huntrz......B makes jerky alot of times..........I don't like that smell though..........EWWWWWWWWW lol....
