This is for the DSLRs..but it's a pretty helpful tutorial. I do clean my own sensors...but that's a risk I was willing to take...I've seen people not to do it correctly and wipe out a sensor so decide for yourself if it's something your want to try.

I have a small battery operated blower that I use...works well. But the Canon XT is a huge dust magnet, and since I have a bad habit of changing lenses in the field..you can imagine..
I usually clean mine about once a month..
That's half the reason I use two bodies..to try and keep as must crud as possible out of them..
