You could try Baldwin lake. Or there's the new lakes over at shooting complex. The city of Sparta has two lakes, north city lake and south city lake. The city of Pinckneyville also has a lake. It's north of the city towards Nashville and some good bass fishing. then there's Washington county lake, but it's kinda funny, when there biting you will catch some nice fish,3,4,5,6 lbs. fish. Problem is being there wen they are biting. rend lake is another option, a little bit of a drive, but well worth it. I will be going down there on thursday, the catfish are spawning.:):):):):)
