17 pheasants and 22 quail between us. Numbers could have and should have been better but it is extremely dry (hadn't rained since May) and windy and warm. All in all we had a great time, cme back with as many guys, dogs trucks and guns as we left with and got some vitals to eat later.

Some pictures:

Dad myself and one of dad's old hunting buddies (after I dropped 3 birds):

The haystack where we daily killed an hour or two in the shade of the heat of the day, also provided a windbreak and a place to shoot pigeons:

Ensuring to befriend the farmer we hunted on and helping him get a few chores done. We pulled up to the haystack as he started to load about 60 bales on a trailer, dad and I joined in to help him out then chatted for a bit:

Ride #2
2008 F-350 crew cab King Ranch with the 6.4 powerstroke. After driving this guys truck partway back home for about 500 miles I will say it is a nice engine with lots of whoop azz when passing another vehicle.

Now that's about as good a way as any to keep a farmer friendly to you and other hunters. I've put up hay, and I know how hard of work it is.

Thnks so much for posting those..we did miss you! I'm not surprised you jumped in and started helping ith the hay...That's exactly the kind of thing that it never hurts to do...you're pretty good at keeping your karma in good shape! Looks like typical kansas to me too...LOL

That along with 2 cases of Coors Light minus 4 cans.

Hey Bird, what the hay happened to those 2 bins? Twister?

This was my second year out there and they were tore up last year too.
I would imagine it was a twister and I would guess they must be in very bad shape as they have not fixed them but I did not ask what happened.
The tops are sitting in the weeds next to them and are all smahsed up, the grain drier is in the same place it was last year too.
