Is anyone coming up for the Classic ?
If so stop by the IBS (Illinois Bowhunters Society) booth & say Hi.
I know it is a long way for some of you, but there are lots of monster bucks to see & some pretty cool stuff too.
I know Flatlander remembers how to get back up here. ;)
Hope to see ya there.
I went up for that last year, it was great!! I'm not sure if we are making the trip again this year or not, it is worth the trip though, we even caught a couple seminars.... good info there.

Sure do and wish I was going but I have those power days off, Wed & Thur.
They also have a kids archery booth, so you can even bring the kids.

OK Lynn,
I'm gonna pony up and join IBS. Just printed out the form on the site. (Which is looking good w/ the updates.) You are doing some good work. It's the least I can do to look out for our sport...
Bob
Thanks Bob
We can always use good members like yourself to help represent the southern Ill bowhunter.
For some of you who have not heard Illinois Bowhunter Society is sponsoring a bill, SB 201. It would allow youth deer season in all counties & for the kids to take either bucks or does. Like it should be. The IDNR is behind this 100%
We all want to get kids into the outdoors as much & as soon as possible.
I will tell you more & keep you all updated later.
Thanks

I concur w/ this 100%... If the kids are able to be out there, let em shoot what they want.
Think back... you were 13 yrs old, if a giant buck (even a semi decentbuck) walked by you, and you were unable to take a shot. HEARTBREAKER.

I was one of them 13 yr. olds, my brother and i were bowhunting early october in perry county and i had this massive 10 pointer walk into shooting range, but i was in such astonishment i couldnt move, so luckily my brother bagged the buck since he was hunting close by . but i still will never forget it to this day.
