View Full Version : Snake Road Revisited gretchensteele 11-07-2007, 08:49 Snake road is open again..and truly a beautiful drive if you are looking for fall colors... http://www.siloutdoors.com/imagehosting/4474731cfff1638e.jpg lifestudent55 11-07-2007, 08:51 Oh wow, that's beautiful. Does this mean the snakes are done migrating through now? gretchensteele 11-07-2007, 08:53 I would say yes. I told Bam yesterday that they were all snug in their little hibernation hideouts... :) I'm afraid last nights hard freeze may have cause a good bit of leaf drop. I'll be anxious to head back down there in a day or two to see.. lifestudent55 11-07-2007, 08:54 Yeah, but will they be coming out and sunning themselves on warm days? Hmmmm. BAM 11-07-2007, 08:54 Man, was I on the look out too and didn't see crap.........lol......did find some dinner for the snakes though.......:D :D Birdhunter1 11-07-2007, 16:05 That is an aweoms picture! I do belive you are right Gretchen, when I get back from Kansas I don't think I'll see any leaves on trees anymore. Actually if memory serves me right I will see my last leaf on a tree tilll next spring tomorrow morning, in Kansas there is ONE tree, in the middle of the state a long ways from where we are hunting. BAM 11-07-2007, 19:16 One tree in Kansas ! Get a pic.......... Birdhunter1 11-07-2007, 19:22 We'll be a few hundred miles from it. lifestudent55 11-07-2007, 19:45 Now I know for a fact that I saw at least a couple dozen trees when we were in Kansas. It's just that they were all crowded together close to the Missouri border. Birdhunter1 11-07-2007, 20:22 They were imported then, I am talking about the one native born tree in the state. I think a bird crapped the seed for it and it grew. |
