Last I knew it was still called that but it did just sell...and at a whoppin 1.76 million...just for the durn marina( or so I was told).......isn't that something.....oh and it cost 5 bucks a boat now to park down there and 10 on the south side someone told me.....yikes...glad we don't have to pay that.......

DD, on that first one the loe road is going right along there to the power plant.the big road you took to my house....
The name of the actual point I was standing on was Shamrock Point but that is only known by far and few.......it is pretty close to the marina as well...I don't know what was up with the waves that day.....usually aian't like that but maybe that's why I was over there.....lol.....I can't remember now...

That's why I didnt' put any pics I have with houses.....lol...Loe is pretty much the only lake around here that is developing like crazy and poppin houses up on every corner there is..IDK if that's a good thing or a bad thing..lol...but I thought that would have been a dead giveaway......


The next point that I was standing on to the left just sold for 225,000 and it's not even 1 acre lot..that's crazy to me:eek: ...wonder how much they will be out once the house is done...:rolleyes:

the same thing is beginning to happen to property values around here..it's acually keeping folks to a point trapped..Critter and I will never be able to move...our house is raggedy so it won't bring much, although our house site is worth a fair a amount...but we wopuld never get enough out of this place to buy a comparable or "move up" or out...our neighbors double wide just listed for 108,000...that's insane....
Our community is in a snit because the young folks don't stay here..but there is no affordable rental property and certainly none for sale...(affordable) when small old mine houses are bringing 45 -50,000.
Folks here use the justification that we are "close to the shooting complex" well...none of those folks are buying property...okay..off the soapbox...

Yea, when we wanted to buy that lot g...the guy went up from 4500 to 25,000 and it's not even 1 acre!!!!!!! We even offered 20,000 and he still said no?? He said let me clean the wax out of my ears real hateful..... He said see that new house going up, it's really bringing the property value up......I said no, Im standing on my front porch now and I don't see it! lol.... :D :D......That's crazy to me.......Im thinking farm country sounds better and better.....lol.....

Farm gorund is going for anywhere from 3000 on the low side for scrub ground to 5-600 for good ground, and here in Randolph county, I don't think you can buy a parcel less than ten acres unless you get dispensation from the Pope and it you buy it from your family....then you have the huge expense of putting in roads, electric, making a home site.....I don't which way is the way to go anymore LOL

a 130 tract just sold for a little over 800,00...and Curt inherited a share in some over by Prairie Energy..it sold for a unbelievable amount- I think close to 800,00 for a 110 acre tract..

Yea, it's about 5000 an acre here now.....Out by the fams farm(by shadys) you have to buy at least 2 acres in order to get a septic and all put in or so I was told.....It's nice out there but there aian't a lake around.....lots of hunting ground though...hmmmmmmmmmm decisions decisions....

Yea, I found some ground at LOE for 4000 a lot....yes at LOE..The problem is you have to buy 4 lots in order to get a street put in and such like you said...Plus then we would have to clear off the lot, get rid of the brush, survey, electric, water, your looking at what 25,000 for a one acre lot again just to get started....

Another hillbilly. Yee haw! My mom grew up on Walnut Ridge (north of Salem, IN) so that's where we spent a lot of our vacations when we were little. Yeah, I'm an old ridge runner.

No bird, this is different.....there aian't nothing flat around here really either....eps. on the lake.......you gotta remember how close we are to ferne clyffe....that's what it looks like down there..... it is crazy up and down and round and round..folks get turned around all the time back in there..... and would take at least 15-20 more mins to get too......I don't want that......unless it was like an awesome deal.....the land back there is usually cheaper too...we have found lots back there for 3-4 thou. but it's in a bad location....that's the thing location location location.....
Some of the waterfront lots back there aian't waterfront right now either......the water is so low it's kinda dried up in some of the southside necks.....lol.....
maybe they should post em as possible waterfront homes........:D :D
