I'm used to hunting when the air's crisp and there's some snow on the ground. Bob 10-05-2007, 06:21 WTH!!!!! I want Frost..I want crisp aior and cold wet feet when I come back from the woods..not a freaking heatstroke..this is making me crabby...the fall festival is tomorrow..we have already removed chili from the food stand...it's gonna be hot a miserable day . Yesterday, once the sun got up overhead the waves of heat and humidty coming up out the creekbottoms were enough to drop you in your tracks..made me wonder if it was really october... lifestudent55 10-05-2007, 17:12 Actually some spicy chili is good in warm weather. If it raises a good sweat it helps cool you off. That's why it's so popular in Texas. (Of course some of us just like to eat chili and would eat it if it was 100 degrees out.) gretchensteele 10-05-2007, 17:26 that argument was made during the heated menu debate...( oh small towns  ) lifestudent55 10-05-2007, 17:48 I'd eat chili for breakfast even. Good chili I'd even eat for dessert. DetectDave 10-05-2007, 17:48 I made a big old batch of green chili stew yesterday although I don't feel much cooler for eating it..LOL FunGusAmonGus 10-07-2007, 12:33 heres a pic from yesterday in Wyoming... http://www.siloutdoors.com/imagehosting/301470918095f193.jpg gretchensteele 10-07-2007, 12:36 Oh to have that here..there is just something so not right about this heat in October..I have to take my cooling vest on the bike today...aauugghh |
