BAMBAM is the first out of the gate!
Great way to get it started!:)

On the first I actually hugged the tree in order to get that one........(tree hugger...lovely I know) lol....and on the acorns well...
You know where I was in order to get that shot with my cam right......lol. ( maybe that's why I was pickin those little deer specks off again...
On the mushrooms I wasn't even gonna ask.....I don't either....I only had a sec......B was rushing me I was suppose to be helping him instead of having a photo session with the ground.......
A shroom guide would be nice but a canon would be sweet.....and a tripod, batteries, sd cards, filters, flashes, neck strap, and case....is there anything I forgot......lmao-(life, I am gonna keep typing that anyway, seems to do me some good) lmao......
anyway, thanks I only took about 5 or 6 of the acorns....they were everywhere...I thought they were bad this year???
lifestudent55 10-03-2007, 19:21 Hey Bam, just had to tease you 'bout that. If you stopped, I wouldn't recognize you.
I'd like to get that new Nikon DSLR myself, but that's just cause I'm already familiar with Nikons and I could use the zoom I already have on it.
ACORNZ EVERYWHERE? Can you say "NEW STAND LOCATION?"
ACORNZ EVERYWHERE? Can you say "NEW STAND LOCATION?"
Can we say, I am a step ahead .......lmao......It was so darn hot he sat down a min and I snapped a pic.....I don't know why it looks like that but those leaves really were not that close.....looks like he is about to eat one here.....

That was actually another stand we have.......We left the other one in the same place for now......well see how this turns out...
Did I mention it was hot??? lmao

lifestudent55 10-03-2007, 23:15 Dane, I think I got chiggers again now..........UGH!!!!!!!!!
Time to get the Fels Naptha out again. A good scrub with that will get rid of them.
I don't have any of that stuff........I keep forgetting.......
Ok I read somewhere, that they just bit you and the saliva or something is what starts itchin.....not they they burrow under the skin? have you heard?
lifestudent55 10-03-2007, 23:18 I don't know. All I know is their bites itch like crazy. Fels Naptha is what we used at church camp when I was growing up. It stopped the itch from insect bites, poison ivy and oak, and all that irritating stuff.
gretchensteele 10-04-2007, 07:30 I really like the DK series Smithsonian Handbook...it's much easier to navigate than the audubon..and I'll be coming home with one of Mike Kuo's I am sure...LOL

Mike's book..new edition is out now! That's what I'll pick up at the MBOT garden..

I looked for that soap again and couldn't find it??/ Who has it Rural King? I think my dad said he used to use LYe or something but it burned??? Does that sound right?
gretchensteele 10-15-2007, 17:42 I don't think you can even get lye soap anymore...I would have thougt Rural King would have it..maybe even Wal Mart...It can be bought at several places online...
Ill have to check at Rural King I guess.......I try to stay away from there if possible this time of year.......you know they have hunting stuff there too........:D :D
DetectDave 10-16-2007, 02:56 I thought our local grocery store still carried it in the laundry detergent area. Might check there....

Bam just scrath em till they bleed and pour rubbing alcohol on them.
Im sure that looks and feels LOVELY??? LOL..
Birdhunter1 10-16-2007, 17:36 Feels great for a minute or two, stops the itching after the initial burn is gone!
Time to get the Fels Naptha out again. A good scrub with that will get rid of them.
