Sat Nov 5th is the opening weekend of rabbit, pheasant, and quail... Is anyone else as excited as I am? Anyone have big plans for the weekend?

Excited? yes, my username is kinda named after my favorite hobby.
Going? NO, my wife signed us up for this marriage retreat at our church prior to me remembering it was opening weekend. Oh well, my hunting spots are safe from others, and hopefully my wife will last longer than my bird dogs so I will give her the weekend, but come Sunday watch out!

Very excited! It will be my britt's first hunt (he is not even a year old yet) so we might be doing more training than actual hunting, but it will be good to get him started.

Use to be a real big day when the old man had beagles and I had springers. Now neither one of use have a hunting dog. What I would'nt give to hunt over a couple of beagles or a bird dog this year.

I live in morris IL and I have no schedule. I just retired in may. I did'nt get to do any hunting at all last year because I had both kneeas replaced. (that's why I pulled the pin) I'm trying to make up for what I missed last year. Just got back from WY on an antelope hunt.

Bird , if I did'nt live in town I would have a bird dog.
