If you only knew how I felt about Montana...Lovely- just lovely....
Montana is one of my most favorite places..when I was running out there we had a saying ...nothing for miles and miles, but miles and miles

Gretchen that is the truth, nothing for miles and miles except miles and miles, and cows!

Since you'd have kids with ya I don't know. Never been to Colorado but South Dakota you will have alot of driving fromplace to place but there is alot of different landscapes: farming/prarie, badlands, Black Hills, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument and we didn't go but there is Custer State Park just south of Crazy Horse monument. Of course Yellowstone is an easy days drive from the Black Hills of SD, we did not go to Yellowstone but that will be our next big trip probably, or Colorado.
