Livin in the woods...:D Movin early and late... days still about 10 degrees above avg. Seeing lots o deer at night. Beans are bout done, wheat is comin up... spent corn and beans... HOT... :( Hunt early Mid day and late... yankeegray 09-30-2007, 15:40 Plan on morning hunts. this week all my deer are feeding in the picked corn. Still to hot for evening hunts. Like Bob sez. O yes bring a lot of bug spray. flatlander 09-30-2007, 16:04 Another thing to keep in mind (Lynn pointed it out) the youth gun season is the first weekend of archery season. This year for the first time the youth season is in every county so bow hunters must also wear blaze orange. 3dsteve 09-30-2007, 16:36 is the youth hunt on the 6th and 7th flatlander 09-30-2007, 17:41 is the youth hunt on the 6th and 7th yes that's it. 3dsteve 09-30-2007, 19:04 thats a bummer i dont know if i wanna go now Bob 09-30-2007, 19:12 whatever, I'll be out there... Birdhunter1 09-30-2007, 19:18 can anyone tell me what the deer are doing in southern IL. I seen a couple yesterday stirring margaritas in a pond, then a few more cooking some clover greens. The rest of the herd was packing up to leave for Florida for the winter! lifestudent55 09-30-2007, 19:24 Most of them I've seen have been hanging out in the suburbs. Maybe the feel it's safer there. Either that or they like eating tulip bulbs and stuff. uncle matt 09-30-2007, 19:38 thats a bummer i dont know if i wanna go now A bummer? Kids getting their very own chance out there? SOLID FLO only no Flo -camo... 3dsteve 10-02-2007, 05:47 thanks, for the help STEALTH 10-02-2007, 07:34 The deer I've been seeing are in or in route to picked corn. The dry summer has resulted in smaller ears that the combines miss part of and there is a lot of loose corn lying around. And the fact that there are no acorns. |
