Does look like a nice point(GOOD JOB SMOKE!)....looks like something I would try to do..I get in trouble while we camping for trying to clean up nature...lol...

That would've required a tripod, wouldn't it? None of us were carrying tripods on this expedition.

No actually life we just sit it on a brick wall and set the self timer and then ran around and snapped some pics...lol.....looking crazy! The keeper guy was watching us.....lol
Then it didn't turn out so we did it again, this time gretchen jumped over the wall to try to make it in enough time.......lmao.......needless to say they didn't turn out very good! :D :D :D
Finally we gave up and just had critter take our pic on the farm......lol.

We didn't have a brick wall either. (That's also how I took picks of myself holding up fish.) The only thing there was the fish cleaning table and it's too low to get a good self portrait.

Smoke and I are buds now......lol....we got it like that!

And for some reason I don't think smoke would care being called young, I guess it's different when your called old, makes some folks almost bit their tounge off.......:p

lifestudent55

I think Smoke actually likes to egg us on to get us to tease him more. :D Sure seems like it anyway.

Bam, I reckon it's a bit different for us men folk. I don't mind kids saying I'm old because I know I can still take em on. Besides, having younguns your age and being a grandpappy is fun.

You know I kinda noticed that life......You know since my mom passed away my dad really stepped up to the plate with the grandkids.....he still lets them stay the night(every once in a while, well besides milky...LOL) and fixes em dinner, washed the clothes and he even ironed, yes, my dad ironed.....something he said he hasn't done since the navy....lmao..
Anyway, he said being a grandpa is the best thing.....cause when you get tired of em you fill em up on snacks and send em back home..........lovely.....:)

Another fun thing is to buy them noisy toys like drums and stuff to play with when they get home. :D I got both our granddaughters toy pianos (the little ones with the metal rods the hammers hit) and a toy drum for the youngest. :D

um , yea I used to get my nephew crazy things like that for his birthday before I had kids.....playdoh, guitars, poppin guns, markers, sand art, all that stuff, needless to say once I had my own that changed....usually he gets his winter coat from me now for his birthday.....:D

I still get my nieces and nephews loud stuff, and yes whenever I am with them I usually gas them up on sugar and Mt. Dew before taking them back.

Just wait bird, prolly won't be long until you have kids....oh...and I bet there will be paybacks........
I usually won't go by my mom and dad's house unless we had already had dinner now.......Dad loads em up.....and then of course they get dirty and sticky too.....

Ah the joys of being a grandparent...I will never forget the day the oldest that I raised called to say her 13 y/0 daughter was giving it to her in spades..."you and Dad said my day would come..well it's here..and oh boy is she going to give me a run for my money..I don't know if we will both live for her to see 18 or not" !"

No kids of my own...just raised my brothers...and they were a handful..I think the term for kids like them nowdays is "children in crisis"

M;y daughter has a 2 year old now plus one on the way. She was asking me a while back if she had an attitude like that when she was 2. Yes, she did. Well she was suddenly apologizing for how she was when she was a youngun.

Life, I had did that several times.....I think Jr. High was the worst for me though....and believe it or not, I hated the outdoors then...Couldn't stand the thought of a campground believe it or not.....Now I get teased when I go camping up with the fam again of course....they remind me how I acted at 13...but you know the mall an movies where more important at that time.....

Also yea, my dd has a major attitude, it gotta be school, she was so sweet before.lol.........I get reminded all the time I was the same way.....I don't believe it though.......:D

My dad's folks bought a pop-up camper when we were kids and let us use it for vacations. We spent a lot of summer vacations in campgrounds throughout southern Indiana and down into Kentucky and Tennessee and as far north as the UP. It was great. Back then pop-ups were canvas tents on box trailers with foldout beds. This one had some storage space and a built-in cooler. I remember at least 1 campground where the ice man came around selling ice to campers and used tongs to carry blocks of ice to us.
