I saw these 2 does just north of Fairview Heights. It's not too clear because I had my little PnS zoomed as far as it would go.

Life..I see you were fighting the dust and haze that's oh so common around here...it drove Bam about half nuts when she was trying to shoot up here...
It's a lovely autumn view though..and the haze is just part of it around here... :)

Yeah, that plus the angle of the sun. I almost didn't see them, but had my eyes open because I see deer in this area so often.

and how did you know that I was just sitting here looking at the repair bill for the last deer / truck collision LOL

Yep. I shot from the road. The second one is just cropping the first with picassa. That's as close as anyone except the farmer who owns that land is going to get to where those deer were standing. He doesn't take kindly to trespassers.

My daughter totaled out two cars in northern Indiana by running into deer. Bummer about that collision Gretchen. Mrs Life works real early and a couple years ago she pulled right up to a deer that was standing in the road, then honked her horn. It jumped over the right corner of the car leaving a hoof print in the hood. It didn't damage the paint so we left the dent there. I told her that instead of honking at it she should've just gotten out and walked up to it. She probably would've too.
