If you have a very strong stomach, don't mind getting your line hooked up with other fishermen on every few casts, now is a good time to fish at the water intake at Baldwin. But you better have a strong stomach, Dead and dying fish are stacked up by the inlet by the hundreds, and the smell will take your breath away. I tried it last week with two of my fishing buddies and we did catch big catfish but it was not for me. Watching rotting fish being feed on by swarms of other fish while trying to hold my breath caused me to call it quits. When asked if I wanted some of the fish we caught I said " No thanks, I won't eat fish out of 105 degree water with fish dying everywhere on the lake."
This week I went jug fishing on the river and caught 150 lbs of fish, and did not see another boat all night. To each his own I guess.
