View Full Version : Cuttin your teeth...
... I think that this is where most of us started... Went in there w/ 3 kids 3 poles 2 tackle boxes, a tree stand, 20' of steps, and a deer cart... going in was easy, but seemed like it was heavier coming out minus the stand and steps... everybody needed carried...:o O rode the deer cart out...

lifestudent55 09-23-2007, 14:10 Bam, there were 3 of us boys and keeping us clean between the house and church (next door, btw) on Sunday mornings was a task. We got good and grimy when we went fishing or playing in the woods.
I raised 1 daughter and 0 sons. Since she spent most of her time with me she has been and always will be a bit of a tomboy. Her daughter's turning out to be a bit of a tomboy too, in spite of liking the frilly dresses part of the time. My daughter (who is about your age) until she started having babies hunted more than me. Once her kids are old enough to take out in the woods she'll be at it again. Yee haw!
as forgetful as I am, I remember the first time I went fishing with my Dad, I was 4 yrs. old, we snuck into some farmers pasture, went with my dad's bud his wife, they told me to lay down on the floorboard in case the farmer started shootin', then while I was tearin' up the giant bluegills, ( in my mind they seemed huge, probably not more than about 4 - 5 inches long) a whole herd of cows came down to the pond right by us, freaked me out, I ended up catching a whole washtub full of gills that day, we gave them to the neighbor and I watched him clean everone of those fish. good memories, made me a fisherman for life.
good pics guys!
I know Life, I had three older brothers remember....lol..We had a big field out back and a pond 2 houses down ..........I would usually just tagged along with em when mama let me....And do whatever the dare was for the day.....lol....I usually got suckered into it since I was the young one.....lol....! lmao..
Never liked barbies or none of that....and my daugthers don't either now......lol.I did do dance for 7 years though..lol....I guess I can be kinda girly, just depends on what we are doing .
My hub said he likes it cause he can take me out to a nice place to have dinner friday night , but still be in the tree stand sat morning with em.......lol...He said you don't find that with everyone! Which is true alot of my friends wouldn't even think about it.....Although if hub came to a mary - kay party with me I think I would be kinda worried! lmao....just kidding.......
Yea for some reason in the 3rd pic, they just don't seem to be thinking, where should I cast, more like what spot do we jump into first!....:) Great pics, and the best p[lace for them to be!
