In the right neighborhoods..LOL mine evidently isn't one of them though....anyway thought I would post a couple of links regarding th epuffballs..really good eating!! Trust me! As one of the web pages mentions..they can be baked into bread or rolls as well..really great with soup or stew on cold evening...

It was pretty easy and you did open that door....LOL Bob this one actually looks like it may have a bit of stem? Cut one in half and make absolutely sure it's solid..no sign of a stem or anything (think like morel only solid instead of hollow)..it's so hard sometimes to be sure from a pic..and god forbid I kill you off...I have a feeling that one may be not a puffball...it looks more like a young one of a different type...if you can check it tomorrow..you maybe able to tell for sure...
