How are the crappie doin on crab and or cedar? Planning on making a trip down there this weekend, but not sure what to do with all of this rain. Any advice? I'm assuming a lot of ramps are under water...

I was at crab last Wed. crappie bite was on but they were running small. With all this rain the lake could be up and muddy by now, sure wish it would quit for a while.

Fished Little Grassy April 16-17th caught 28 black crappie 9"-12" most went 11inches only threw back 2 small fish. 2 FOW and spawning then.

Went to egypt yesterday and their tearing pretty much anything up on the south side. Right off the edge of the grass. 3/4-1-1/5 lbs.

After getting my gobbler Monday the 18th I ran up to crab and caught lots of crapps. I only fished for a couple hours caught 52. No slabs I had on fish about 11 1/2 inches the rest were between 6 1/2 and 8 inches, the aggrivating males not big enough. Went back 3 days later and had same results. The fish are biting but its the dinky males. Those sows will be moving in soon,,,,with all this rain you might find some in all the new cover.

drove down and fished crab this morning. did good on the bluegills but it seemed like the crappie were all small yet. beautiful day to be on the water regardless, and was able to put a few gills on the table for dinner. how's everyone else been doing on crab/ cedar/ egypt?
