Wish I knew how to properly give the link.. It is on a website called "Muskylink.com" if I am not butchering it up too badly, it was caught in December of all moths of 2010.. At Goldeneye Lake.. Looks like a runt compared to two or threee others I have had follows with while bass fishing this lake. When this lake fist opened the bass were more plentiful and averaged 2lbs.. I have wondered how much the trophy musky have effected the bass population.. Or if they really even do at all. December?? The photo if you can find it doesn't lie.. But on what, live shad? I did not think they were active in the middle of winter..?

i'm not a musky "hunter", but i have caught a few on Kinkaid, one was legal size (all released). i am usually bass fishing and then hook up. the fun ones are when i am crappie fishing with the ultra-lite and hook-up or they grab my little crappie for a bite. here comes the wake, hold on. my understanding is dec, jan and feb are the best months for musky. Good fishing. I will be at Kinkaid this Friday and next Friday. I will try to post a favorable fishing report.

Yeah.. Do report.. Would like to hear @ Kincaid... And for goodness sake don't launch at the Ava access. Launched the Skeeter there in March only to have to jump out and push the boat back out of the silt.. Good times..

Ava is for canoes only. good fishing for crappie at that end, but no launching.

Last time I launched the Skeeter another musky fisherman was there before me with a 21 ft Ranger Walleye Deep V, my boat was a good 1500 lbs lighter.. I have no idea how he launched there.. But he did..
