So I been wanting a beagle for a longtime but not for the obvious reasons. So almost two years ago I finally found a minature beagle to track wounded deer. I've been working with him in the backyard with blood and a tail and he's seems to love it. I wanted to get him on his first deer but unfortunately wasn't able to. So my goal the past season was to hunt public close to home so I could have him at the ready. My buddy shot a buck during the first gun season on public land that only allows bow hunting right at last light and wasn't sure where he was hit so we let him sit overnight. We come back out the next morning without the dog just incase we couldn't find it didn't want him getting skunked his first time out! We looked where he shot at the deer and found no blood but we eventually found him. We went back and got my pooch and he immediately found blood where the deer was shot. He tracked the buck right where he entered crp. Took him like 10 minutes to find the deer and he was very learry at first as you can see in pics. I took him out shed hunting with me sand he found my first lil forkie. So he sees antlers he goes nuts thinks their his

Hope you guys find lots of deer together. Thats a good huntin partner to have. I could have used your dogs nose early last bow season.

That's one of the prettiest beagle I've seen in a long time. I also like the smaller one .
