That is sooo sweet you have the opportunity to fly over your areas... I'd love to have a few hours over the Kaskaskia..............

I flew quite a bit during the summer with my job before I retired, always took advantage aerial opportunities....
Took several other shots of a lake we hunt near the Bond/Clinton Co area too. It is nice when you have it camoed-up and you can see the spots that are needing a little extra attention. I have numerous pixs from the sky and they are real helpful..

Is highland lake open to the public? What type of regulations do they have?

You can do almost as good of a scouting job from google earth. I know it is not the same though.

Full, you can obtain a blind at the City hall, I think there are something like 25-30 blinds. The only thing is, the person who has a blind the previous year gets first chance at renewing their location. We have had our same location for 30+ years, there are a few others like that but I would say 5-10 spot are open yearly. You have to claim an open blind in May and have it up 30 days before season starts. There is a 25 HP limit on the lake. I don't know the fee's for people who live outside the City, I think ours as a city resident is $50.00.
If you have any further questions you can email me at goosey007@hotmail.com, will try to get an answer.

Thanks, I will be looking into it. Is there a daily draw deal, or is it once it is your blind, it is yours all year?
