Took these 18 crappies yesterday. Caught them all on a white, curl-tail jig with a silver spinner. Had a blast. Hopefully this pic will load. Anyone else having any early season luck.

I actually caught a few small bass on the same lure. Had quite the fight on my Micro Light with 4# test.

A family lake around my hometown of Marissa IL. Its not really that deep. I was running the jig spinner about 4-5 feet deep, over the top of some weed beds. They were schooled up nice. I caught probably about 30 but these were the keepers.

dang wish i could find me a good spot to catch some slabs

Man, some crappie fillets and morels (coming soon!) would taste great along with some adult beverages.

Same here. Been consistantly catching crappies but lacking the size. Caught 40 or so last sunday but not many over 10". still very very deep.

Same here! Hadn't found much of anything shallow yet although I've heard reports...Another couple weekends I look for things to seriously change with the water coming up after the Mud clears...
