Pal and I were out this afternoon. We found three. 2-11-2011:)
At first I thought one of the sheds was from last year but upon closer inspection it was this years with fresh chew marks on it. The woods animals had practically eaten it up already, it was an early shed

Pal spotted a squirrell in the tree and dropped the antler.

You are the Shed Hunting Queen!!!! I haven't found a single stinking one yet.. but we just started losing snow cover yesterday..oh who am I kidding.. I have to step on the darn things and have them slap me in the head LOL
Willie has been doing good though, and is bringing me lots of odd assorted bones.. just no antlers LOL
Glad somebody is findin some. Walked a few miles yesterday. Saw one REAL nice buck carrying both, and saw about 40 deer that we could see no antlers on any. Kept hoping to see one fall off that big boy, but nope... Found a long dead doe, and got excited when I found a blood spot in the snow and fresh deer tracks, but it didn't lead anywhere and I circled the area quite a bit...
I looked for a while yesterday no luck hope to spend most of the afternoon out today.

I agree, G. I have to have them bite me as well. I let Murphey chew on a couple of sheds from past years and he loves them. Hoping that will lead to a couple found this year. He did find a skull a couple of weeks ago, so maybe its working.

I have a bad feeling about this year's shed hunting around here G.
I am afraid there will be few good ones found by Pal and I. Afraid tractor tire's will get several this coming farm season. The bucks have been feeding in the corn stalk and milo fields and bedding in the CRP fields around here. And we have some disking o do over the crp fields.
I wish we had signed up for the controlled burns instead of the light disking.
Walking or riding over corn fields and milo fields I have to trip over them also even when Pal is with me.

I just know you will be showing us some dandy shed pics soon.
Good luck.:)
