I got to hunt for a couple hours before work this morning . I am pretty sure new birds are in the area . The flood gates haven't open but the nip in the air sure feels like duck season. The dog got to get her first real bird double, not much could remove the smile on my face today. Try again in the rain hopefully in the morning.

Monroe, you are right, we are getting just a few birds a day, usually early, I think a few new teal are arriving daily. We managed six today, but that was the only group that worked us. The geese we are killing I believe are just the young locals, no significant flights. Talked to a buddy of mine who hunts northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin and they have had a steady influx of ducks and geese the last few days. :o
