OK all. Here is a chance for you show off your artistic eye, and show us your best photos of each upcoming season in the New Year 2007.

There will be 3 categories...
Trail Cam
Wildlife
Scenic

Each of the categories will have 4 contests throughout the year corresponding with our seasons. Jan-Mar; Apr-Jun; Jul-Sep; Oct-Dec.

You can submit as many photos as you like as long as they fit in one of the 3 categories. The photos must be taken in our wonderful home state of Illinois in the year 2007. A panel of judges (chosen by Bob) will pick 3-5 finalists of each category. (depending on the number of entries) Then those 3-5 will be judged on a web poll by YOU, and your fellow members of SILO. The winners of each Season will be named as per the voting at the end of the month following the close of said season. (EX: Jan-Mar winner will be named May 1 and so on.)

The prizes are yet to be determined, but will be posted before we have to pick a winner. These rules are subject to change as necessary. If you the members have any suggestions shout em out, and we can see if they'll apply.

So make sure your cameras are in your pack or pocket as you head out, you never know what kind of awesome picture opportunity may arise.

What if we had a certain thing to photograph each month. Like mushrooms one month, flowers, fish, rivers, lakes, sunsets, water towers, deer, snow, fireworks, fall leaves, Depending on the season. ...Something different each month......I seen another website do that one time and it was really neat to see how one persons pic of a the snow could look so different than another persons. With the website growing I am sure we will have more competition and it might make it a little more interesting to photograph the same thing and compare them.......Just an idea.....What do you think????

I think it's a great idea ....maybe just add it as a Monthly challenge? The winner gets to pick the next month's theme?? But since all of my shooting is done with a camera....The more opportunities to post pictures and see others would seem like a wonderful thing to me LOL

We figure out a topic, and I'll set it up.

What about flowers this month since they are seasonal??? Im sure this is sometime almost everyone has taken a pic of..........And maybe fireworks next month>????
