Well I have been stoked about learning to bow hunt ..Got most of my stuff together..got a nice yellow bruise on the inside of my forearm....but with this EHD I am considering putting it off till I see what happens to the deer population. I know its not hazardous to people, at least thats what they say, but maybe the deer are droppin fast enough and don't need me to increase the pressure..One more year won't kill me.

You can always practice on doves and bunnies.

Ehd is around every year... Nature at its finest... Plenty of deer to hunt.

don"t give up fungus! the deer population does need your help, and besides it's not that easy! took me 4 years to get my first, took wife 5 years, so you might just consider the first couple of years practice sessions! get up early, hunt late, fling arrows, miss deer, go home empty, and love every minute of it!
I wouldn't want back even a minute of time spent in the woods to spend somewhere else.

It's a hot year for the press to be covering it. I don't know that there's really more cases of EHD, but the press has been covering it a lot.

EHD has always been here, a deer probably died in a journalists yard and they were lookin for something to write about so now its big news. it isnt anything to worry about, when ya have over a million deer nature thins them out along with hunters.

The first pic is of my first five shots at 34 of my paces....The second pic is the second five.. I have now lost enough arrows that its getting easy to find themhttp://www.siloutdoors.com/imagehosting/30146e86ad657117.jpg... I found 11 today!

no I suspect it won't .. I really don't nip my arm that often but it don't take many to get a good knot.:D

You know they do make a guard to protect your forearm.

I still periodically find arrows from when my kiddo was learning....they were all over the place..That's what I should have trained the dog to find!
