does anyone have experience with dog boots to protect their feet? what should i look for? how should they be put on? I see alot of people duck tape the boots to the dogs feet? Im thinking about getting some just trying to figure out what to look for..

Any tips would be helpful

Forget the boots, just use duct tape. Been doing it for years. Lot's cheaper

Deno taught the trick to me, straight duct tape. Around here I rarely use boots, no need for it really unless the dog already has a foot issue due to a big thorn or something. In Kansas where we hunt we won't go without taping their feet. That soil out there is very abrasive and sand burrs are simply turds of Mr Devil himself, they are wicked to a dogs feet. The only time I have used them in the state of Illinois is when we have encountered a black locust thorn or their feet are ripped up, in which case I tape them and use an ointment on their feet based on fish oil that smells like rotten fish.
