Does anyone know how to get a choke outa gun when its twisted up and the threads are screwed up? i have bent about 3 choke wrenches and prolly 10 bucks worth of quarters. Or if you got a mossberg 500 or 835 barrel for sale tell me

try bending the choke down to the center of the barrel using needle nose pliers might work not sure how tough a choke tube is

I'll ask Critter when he gets in...what I can tell you is that usually causes a great deal of wailing and gnashing of teeth around here....

Go buy a small real cheap pipe wrench, tap the jaw it to the choke.the choke should come out .I think a 10"wrench should fit .You could also buy a ease out ,take a barrell measurement and any supply hose will have one. They are made to take out pipe that is broke off inside a fitting.

Another way (though quite drastic) would be to heat the outer part of the barrel with a torch (oxy-acetylene) though not till it's red hot while at the same time using ice to cool the choke tube and then twist it out. Like I said kinda drastic but it would work. I have never tried an easy out but it might work well too.

Oh man, sorry to hear that. The easy out route is probably the best.
The tube itself is hardened I think. I've never done anything with one but change it and shoot. Anyway if it is hardened it will make it more difficult for the easy out to bite into the metal to get a grip. You have to TAP it in (TAP not POUND) or you may bulge the barrel. I know, I know, it may be ruined but I doubt it. Even if the threads are a little messed up you should be able to chase them and get them cleaned up enough to work fine.

Good luck to you.
