Got in stand about 6:30. just before legal shooting light, bright half moon as well, I got picked off by an unknown deer(presume doe) and it blew a few times as it went away. The wind was in my favor so it had to have caught me getting things situated.
About a half hour after sunrise I had a doe and doe fawn come in, the adult knew something wasn't right and kept looking in my direction, didn't fully spook but could tell she was wantnig to move my way but couldn't. About 15 minutes after they took off I had atleast 3 does and 4 bucks come into my immediate right(West), they were at 25-30 yds and I was trying to film with a cam mounted on my bow, didn't realize it at the time but the zoom was zoomed out and the glare on the cam window didn't let me see what was in there. 8 minutes of filming caught poor glimpses of 2-3 of the bucks and 2 does(tried editing it all but kept failing). One shooter buck was staying back in the thicker woods, couldn't pic him out on video though.
After they moved off it was quiet for a short time when I caught movement to my left(East) seen two does heading at me and two others not far behind. It ended up being 4 does and no bucks behind them. Had a better angle for videoing them and realized the zoom was out. I could have shot any one of them but had decided to let the does walk after seeing multiple bucks earlier. They headed off into the bedding area.
Not long afterwards, I had what I deemed the Queen of the forest, biggest doe and what I have been passing smaller fawns to put in the freezer come in to about 4-6 yds. Seeing the path she took, her size and being solo I was ready to draw back but something kept telling me buck following. Sure enough he was back in the spruce trees, keeping an eye while staying in the confines of the thick stuff. He wasn't very big, maybe mid 20's, but he had some highly polished caramel colored antlers. Looked to be an 8, only seen the one side had 4. Would have had a hard time passing him. He's at the very end in the upper right corner, barely get a glimpse. I did end up taking out a yote, so the day was a total success.
Anyhow here is the condensed version, starts off with the 2 does, and then to the 4 with an ending of my queen of the forest/buck glimpse. I apologize for the quality, first time videoing with a bow mounted cam and never edited video before, windows movie maker sucks. I'll be out all day tomorrow, have to work 4-6 days before my vacation starts so I may draw on a doe.
