For all of you who have been blessed with rain lately...I seem to be living under a bubble...I swearthe rain just goes to north,,,and goes to the south.... and jumps right past here!

The rain last night was moving south to north in this area. I don't know how far east they went though. We still didn't get near enough. I hope we all get what we need.

radar looks like we are about to get some...but I have seen it go around at the last min.

I'm beginning to wonder if we are cursed....LOL I know that half of why I'm felling icky is cause of the weather...at least though I am thankful that the terrible heat is gone .....I haven't mowed in probably 6 weeks...all I have are some seed heads on the water grass...I refuse to mow and kill everything completely just to please my overzealous and anal retentive neighbors...they mow, water, trim...eek it's like living next to a golf course....
I shudder when I think of the amount of water these folks have been dumping on their lawns...it seems wasteful to me. Mine is limited to the container plants on the deck and the watering spots for the birds and bunnies...

it's going to take a whole lot more rain than we've had here to help these lakes and little ponds in my neighborhood

A few weeks ago we were coming up IL 127 and saw a church bulletin board that said "Pray for rain". I guess enough people finally did.

A father took his young son with him to a special service their church was holding. The boy asked his father why they were going to church then and his father said they were going to pray for rain. The boy said the people must not expect God to answer their prayers. When his father asked him why, he replied that none of them brought their umbrellas.
