Season opens tommorow, anybody going? A few friends and I hope to get drawn for public (Jefferson Co). Been scouting several sunflower fields and have not observed many doves.

I sat and just watched the sky for 20 mins the other day and spotted five. Not bad for not even being over fields. The farmers have started cutting silage too which seems to help get the doves up and moving around. I think it will all come together here soon. Good luck tomorrow!

I normally have access to 1 or 2 silage corn fields every year. This year I have 9! People are cutting corn like crazy and that's a bad thing. Most is not even silage but normal harvesting. Lots of doves around but scattered big time.

I will be going for the first time this year.

We got about 3 acres of flowers out they were cut a couple of weeks ago and the doves are all over the place, if all goes right we should have a bang-up time tomorrow, will let you know.

Checked the fields at PSP yesterday - lots and lots of doves - fields look good!

Doves like bumble bees in a couple of areas I hunt. Hopefully they hang out until I can get out!!! Don't see why not. Cannot wait!

Nasty out there but didn't stop the doves we ended up with 145 doves, and afterwards we had our usual wild game fry with white bass, frog legs, turkey and wild hog, along with your favorite adult beverage, including homemade blackberry wine. The rain tried to dampen the spirits but fun was had by all.

hung out with the boy last night, wife didn't get home until late so didn't get to make it out, going to try this weekend.

not many doves in our field yesterday afternoon. Me and a another guy shot a grand total of 12 but it could have been worse1

Three of us hunted Mt. Vernon Game Farm on opening morning. We got 6-9 shots a piece and 3 doves total. Day two at Rend Lake-Waltonville field two of us shot 4. Hardly any dove around. Lucky to shoot 6-9 shots in 2.5 hours of hunting.

The boy and I shot 23. Not two limits but man you cannot get better than your son callin you the Jacki Chan of hunting after he sees you dump two with an O/U. Then helicopternin a couple himself. Swirlin everywere were we hunted but hey man when ur done your done. Gonna try again Mon afternoon...
