Many here have had the great pleasure of knowing Deb West and her Brownwaterdogs - I'm sad to share the news from Deb that Squeler has gone over the rainbow bridge. Squeler was much more than a 500point HRC champion - she was the grand dame of Brownwaterdogs and had a gentle heart and spirit that made her a wonderful therapy dog.

"It is with much sorrow that I make this note. Grand Hunting Retriever Champion Ouchita River Squeler has passed over the Rainbow Bridge. She was 15 years old. Retired from hunting/testing to her second career as a Licensed Therapy Dog. She worked at Human Support Services since Nov.4,2004. She made many people with disabilities very happy!!
She was also my hubby's navigator on trips that I wasn't along. (She hated me going along cause she wanted the front seat. She was also the ringbearer in our wedding. She was a very intricate part of our home and will be sadly, greatly missed. She had 33 puppies. Many Grands, and Champions."

Please join me in extending our sympathies to Deb and all whose lives were blessed to know this very, very, special hunting dog.

So sorry to hear of your loss, it is never easy to say good-bye to our dearest friend. But remember they leave their paw prints on our hearts & we are never the same. You also are on my facebook but I did not see anything mentioned there. Remember all the beautiful memories you have stored in your mind.\
