Ok folks, I hope someone can help me out with this.

I just came into possession, or "pre-possession" of a 5 year old black lab that I need to find a good home for.

He is a very active dog and would be best suited to someone who has a big yard or a lot of land and kids. He has been around other animals but like to chase cats.

The dog at the moment belongs to the lady I am buying my house from. She wants to make sure he goes to a good home, but doesn't want anyone trying to hunt with him and realizing he's not going to do it, so he is taken out and shot. (I know there are people like this around.)

If you are interested then please send me a PM here and I can send a picture of him by e-mail or text message over the phone.

His name is Louie. There is a second dog, not as active, but has some hip trouble. (from same litter.) that we are going to keep and see how things go.

Couple of questions -
nuetered?
housebroke?
basic obiendence trained?
Is he socialized to travel out and about with his handler? (could I take him to events etc? )
Just curious - I 'm needing to get a dog to replace Dolly because she needs to retire.. but I'm almost afraid at 5 he's too old for that....
Thanks! Oh if you have any problems placing him let me know, and I'll help put the word out among the dog circles :)

Sorry I should have put that info in.

Nuetered, no
Housebroke, yes I believe would have an accident from time to time.
Basic Obidence - no
Socalized - with other animals (except likes to chase cats) but I would have him on a leash.

If anyone would like to see him in person just let me know. I can make arangements after 3:30 M-F and anytime on the weekends.

I would put him up on williamson county freecycle but I think here would be better.
