I'm thinking about buying a GPS before bow season. i don't want to spend a ton, and was wondering who's got what. I don't need anything fancy, but would like to be able to put maps on it.

Recommendations?

I've got a Garmin GPS Map76. Mine is about 4 or 5 years old.

I need to order the map software badly. Just another $100 I need to appear. LOL

I do use mine a lot though, and can easily find my way to an exact spot again. You have to use it to learn it. I find it to be a great scouting tool.

Apparently not since they rolled it over. Bob and I both still have to report to work Monday.

I have the Garmin 67CSx and have the City Nav ver 8 loded on it. I use it all the time to mark all kinds of things, on public and private land. I mark deer stand trees, trail cam locations, and deer scrapes and rubs. I use them then to tranfer to a map software to analyze the data to better mark hunting locations. I have found a 40% increase in success rate with the gps verse trampling around in the woods to figure out the swame thing.

I have a Garmin Ledgend that I bought in Febuary last year.So I don't know how its gonna work out.From playing around with it i like it.I don't know that I really need a GPS but I wanted one.
