Well the heat finally took it's toll. Went by the 3 small lakes on my way out of New Athens this morning, and there were a lot of floaters down there. It is the lowest I've ever seen those ponds. I'll try to stop and get a pic on my way home...

Especially when everyone around us has too much water. :(

you should see Horseshoe Lake in Granite City it looks like half of its gone. I don't know if they are working on it so they had to drain it or if its just the lack of rain.

Hard to believe there is a lack of rain anywhere! Every day for the past week we have got several inches of rain up here. Twister was on the ground a few miles south of me this afternoon. I got lots of tree damage from micro bursts. The Kankakee is almost at record levels at the state line and the homes all around the chain are flooding.Lots of flooding....

Only good carp, is a dead carp. Remember,Aim low. Anybody on here actually like to eat carp? I tried em, but didn't much care for em. Still like to shoot em though.

Could you send some of the rain down here in moderate amounts? We don't want the twister, but we need some rain badly.

LOL it's the "moderate amounts" part that's always tuff to work out.
