I built one a few years back and it now hangs in my garage. I took t out once and the sand marred the finish on the bottom. One of my buddies built one also and it hangs from the ceiling in his living room and is a piece of art.

If I ever built another it will be a redfish... the kit was about $1000 dollars so one built and finished would be expensive!

mdoc, are these canoes/kayaks on Craigslist from kits also (in your opinion)? Your quite the boat builder yourself! Nice kayak.
You would stick out on Lake Springfield with that.

My guess is they are kit kayaks. But still require lots of hours of hard work, looks like they are high quality.
