Droped some trotlines on th Okaw above Fayetteville Friday afternoon. Water was high and rising. Ran them Sat AM, PM and pulled them Sun AM. Water had risen 6' in that time. I lost one line which I assume got tangled up in a deadhead. Irritated me because I always try and remove everything I bring to the river. We trolled w/ me trying to snag the line for quite a while to no avail. Put out another and the run for the weekend was about 12..averaging 3 to 5 pounds and the largest being a 20# blue. I was recycling because the majority of the bait I used was fillets I took of the carp arrowed in the bowfishing tournament on Carlyle 2 weeks before. I filleted them out and dropped in 2 big boxes of strawberry jello, mixed it up, froze it and the cats loved it. Here's the pics of the pup, his pup and some kitties.

Harry, we had some good father son talks as well while we were floating between trots and I hope we have many more days like this. Kinda nice to have a man fishing w/ ya that just happens to be your kid as well.

LOOKIN GOOD!!! Wanted to put out turtle lines all weekend.. but alas.. too many other commitments.
