went boating with some friends on the Okaw yesterday, good time! he took us back into a slough where the silver carp congregate, I braved the front of the boat to try and get some photos, I only got hit by one, about a 10 lb'er came across the front and richocetted off my knee, one about 12 lbs flew into the back of the boat where everyone was hiding, TOTAL KAOS! kids crying, women screaming, here's a few flying carp photos I managed during the FRENZY!

yes, they can hurt you bad! I have more pics to post later, but I'm off to the farm, gettin' some Tecomate Max Attract 50/50 in today along with overseeding some ladino clover, it's time! we're gonna wait on the oats for about 2 weeks.

oh, and don't anybody even think about writin' a song about the flying carp, I've already started it, everyone here will get a free copy when it goes nationwide! lol

I have to agree that first one is the best, but the second is real good too. Is that last one a bighead? I guess it'd take an industrial strength net to go through cleaning those things out of there.

Nope it's a silver. The bigheads rarely (if ever) jump enough to make it into a boat.

That would be utter chaos....I've never had the experience...I have visions of one of the rats kncocking my camera right out of my hands ....then the war would be on....

lots of shouting and shutting down the boat.. it was a good sized one, but sadly it got off the arrow just as he was getting it in the boat :(

but it was just way cool to me..:D
