New season is upon us...

How about dig out some game from the freezer and we have a gathering? Bring what you got and be ready to cook it kind of deal.

Anyone interested??? In the month of Sept is what I'm thinking.

I'll be gone for 12 days in September, wife and I are going to Montana to visit a friend of ours, whose dad trout fishes ALOT on the upper Missouri river and snake river.... equates to freee guided trout fishing.
A wedding on the 29th, harvest season....

September won't work for me but I would be up for it if I can, it is a good thing the new season is here. The freezer is starting to look bare!

Regardless you better get all the deer out of the freezer before season opens. Its bad juju to have last years tenderloins still waiting to be eatin.

does a measly hind quarter count too? LOL ...J/K ..I know it does... I think I'm farming it out to a friend who's having $ problems..they have a raft of little boys to feed...and they love deer..and their mama doesn't mind grinding her own so....putting that on the to do list for this week...

Sharing what you have with others always brings good juju. Casting your bread upon the waters.

Thanks duckhunter..I will definitely keep you in mind...we also have a limited food pantry at the library so I usually know who's in dire straights...and folks here aren't like those in the city..they are tickled to death to get a few packages of venison burger! They have no illusion (or maybe I should say delusion? ) that they are eating Bambi...LOL
